If dogs had thumbs, WE would be on the other end of the leash and they would be picking out OUR clothes for us.
I wonder if Imelda Marcos had a dog and if it had a good enough set of canine teeth to chew its way through the massive collection she had.
On a serious note, we love our pets and they should be kept warm in winter, so if you have a house dog, I think a sweater is a good idea for walks in the winter.
Otherwise, I'm not crazy about dog clothes in general. I think they look silly.

Hah, adorable. I'm not always been a huge fan of dressing up dogs -- but I do have a friend who has a greyhound, poor guy shivers all the time in the A/C during the summer that he has to wear a sweater. And if we've got a situation where we need to dress up a dog...

Well, it just follows that it probably doesn't bother most of them. And what do we humans do already?

I suspect that just like anything else we do for our pets. If we're going to sweater them against the elements, we might as well have their fashion fit us as their family as well as their own personality.

After all they expect us to know what's hip.
