Thx for the wonderful tips. My Keva loves the horse hoof bones form Pets Smart. They are cheap and keep him busy for more than 10 Minuets.!!

I have heard that some bones, such as the center bones of pork loin, are perfectly safe. Other bones, such as chicken bones, splinter easily and could certainly cause health problems. I think it is a matter of pet owner experience and opinion.

I have to say though, my collie 'Ben' has always enjoyed a good lamb bone and never been at risk.

I believe that this matter is a question of an opinion and an educated decision. While there are certain risks, picking the right type of bone takes care of most of them. As it is also believed by Dr. Patty Khuly, DVM
