Sheeba Plays Risk

in Cats, Videos

Dane sent me a link for a video that features a guy named Dan and a cat named Sheeba playing Risk (the board game). I have to admit, it’s pretty funny and pretty silly – but what got me is Sheeba’s cat cone thingy. Notice hers is signed (like a cast)! How sweet is that…

The audio sounds eerily like my children playing a board game. The only thing missing is a loud “Mooooooooooooooooom, she’s cheating!”

Here are my favorite quotes…

  • “What part of yellow don’t you understand?!”
  • “You can’t roll 3 times, that’s not even how you PLAY Risk”
  • “You realize I called in sick for this? That’s not even how you play Risk. Have you read these rules?”

I love this. The cat cone thingy ? is called an “Elizabethan Collar”. We, however, prefer to call it, “The Cone of Silence”!

    TFG –
thanks for the proper gizmo name reminder, tho I kind of prefer your term instead. I decided I should look that up (the Elizabethan collar that is) and found these common names as well…

    -Elizabethan Collars
    -Space Collars
    -E-Collars
    -Cones
    -Lampshade Collars
    -Buster Collars

I also found the Optivizor and the Novaguard and a video featuring the Optivizor.

I learn something new every day!

I didn’t mean it to sound all “know-it-all-y”! I think the name of it is just so lofty for such a humble item to keep a pet from tearing out their stitches. I do like “lampshade”, however. It makes it sound like they’ve been to a really fun party!

TFG – Oh please, you didn’t sound all know-it-all-y, you just got my curiosity perked and I love searching stuff (I’m a colossal nerd). Lampshade does make it sound like there was alcohol involved. ;)

I love that stuff, too. My new favorite topic? The various names of animal groups like: a “kindle” of kittens or a “murder” of crows…
