How To Make Hummingbird Food
I adore hummingbirds. They’re such pretty little creatures to have fluttering around the yard. Every Spring I look at the old note I have stuck to the inside of our recipe cabinet to remind myself of the right sugar to water mix ratio before I make the first batch of food and set the feeders out again. So today I thought I’d share the hummingbird food recipe and how I make a batch.
I’m also including some of my favorite pictures, my favorite place to buy hummingbird feeders, and what I do to keep the feeders clean and nicely filled all Spring, Summer, and Autumn.

April is Prevention of Animal Cruelty Month

We can change attitudes regarding what is acceptable and what is not when it comes to how animals should be treated.”

s humans we long to find out where we have evolved from and why we behave in a certain way. Tracing our ancestors can be a fascinating and inspiring activity. However is it essential to do the same for our pets? Some would say this is a ridiculous idea but for others it may actually be a worthwhile procedure.
What If Dogs Ran The Internet
Imagine, if dogs ran the internet, or at least had their own world wide web? Think about how different it would look, especially those interactive sites where we go to check in with our friends, network and generally waste time. I’d imagine those would have some differences, although the concepts would be eerily similar since, after all, dogs are territorial animals — like us — and would only allow other dogs they knew and liked access to their internet spaces. Strange dogs would only be accepted if they came with established cronies, and even then would be under close scrutiny for a while.
There would probably be at least a few not-so-subtle differences . . .
