Kitty Crack Infographic

1

The folks over at CatsPHd shared an infographic all about kitty crack, a.k.a. catmint, cat’s plant, cat cocaine, or . . . catnip!

I’m pretty familiar with catnip and even grew my own for quite some time in large containers outside. Cats love the stuff, so if you grow it outside it helps to have it in a container so they don’t totally destroy the plant. Catnip is a mild hallucinogenic for your kitty and cats are actually attracted to many mint plants.

What I didn’t know is that catnip is that it’s also a great way to help hyperactive dogs settle down. Turns out that while catnip is a stimulant for your cat, it has the opposite effect on dogs and is a bit of a sedative for your canine companion.

If you’re looking to buy catnip treats for your cat, we highly recommend Greenies (the same people that make the pill pockets, and if you’re looking for catnip toys, we recommend any of the Kong refillable catnip toys.

Note: Greenies also makes treats and pill pockets for dogs!

Okay, without further ado, here’s the whole infographic with 20 things you might not know about catnip.
Enjoy!!
